Children must be under the control of the adult accompanying them at all times. Children are not permitted to play/run in the Fronthouse or the Visit Hall. This rule ensures that ALL visitors are afforded an equal opportunity to visit in a pleasant environment.

Children under court appointed care of an individual other than a relative, as stated above, may be allowed to enter the facility to visit providing proof of custody has been noted on the inmates Visit Card. This can be accomplished by the adult having custody bringing the Court Order with them and presenting it to the Registration Officer for notation on the Visit Card.

Proper attire is regarded as a condition of admission to a correctional facility. Click on the following link to view the Visitor Dress Code requirements.

Always be sure to call the facility to double check the visit day.

Keep in mind the dress code for the facility. Nothing revealing, or too tight. No short dresses/skirts. I wore flip flops with no problem, but that was about 3 years ago. Call the facility to double check, or check the DOC website.

I would also suggest getting there early...well before registration begins. People will begin lining up outside the facility. Once you are permitted into the building you want to grab a form. They are located on the table in the back right of the room. Grab a paper...and hurry to the front of the line to fill it out. Others will be doing the same...and if you move too slow many, many people will jump ahead of you. It doesn't matter how long you were waiting. They will cut. Fill out your form and wait for them to open registration. Have your ID ready so it can all go smooth. MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON HIS VISIT LIST. Once that is finished, secure your belongings into a locker and wait on line for the metal detector.

You are able to hug and kiss at the beginning and end of each visit.

Pictures are available for purchase at this facility. :)
